Game of Thrones LCG - MD/DC Regional Championship

Hosted by Dream Wizards Game Store and the DC Meta

Saturday, July 26
On Site Registration: 9 to 10 a.m.
Play starts at 10am, Event will likely last until around 10pm or so 

Please be there a little early to sign up and fill out your deck list before the first round begins.

Entry Fee:

Pre-Registration strongly encouraged. Please make sure to register with your Meta affiliation (if applicable)

$18 Pre-Registration (paid via paypal link on bottom of this page), $20 at the door. 

ENTRY FEE INCLUDES A FULL SET OF DC 2014 HOUSE CARDS designed by  Christian Peterson of the The Geekerie (While supplies last).  As seen on the background of this page.

Walk-able from White Flint Metro and a very nice hotel (but cheaper available within a 15-20 minute drive),  Within an hour from 3 airports and Amtrack (Union Station, Washington DC).  Ample parking on site.

Tournament Description:

6 Swiss-style rounds, followed by a cut to the top-ranked players (minimum cut to 8, based on attendance). Finalists will compete in single-elimination rounds to determine the Champion.

Optional Meta Challenge:

Think your Meta is the best?  Now is your chance to show the world what you got!  Players are encouraged to register with a Meta affiliation when registering for the event.  Meta's in attendance with 3 players or more (no limit) will have their scores averaged (separate from the main event score).  This average score (of the top 3 players) will be used to determine the winning Meta at the end of the event.  Prizes TBD, however, bragging rights that your Meta came and conquered is the ULTIMATE PRIZE!

• First 50 registrants will receive a full set of exclusive DC Regional house cards (while supplies last). Please note, these must be picked up in person.

Prizes from the Regionals Championship Kit include:

• Top Sixty-Four: Each player receives one alternate art card.
• Top Sixteen: Each player receives one set of (15) Power Tokens.
• Top Eight: Each player receives one Top 8 playmat.
• Top Four: Each player receives one granite House Baratheon card.
• Champion: Regional Championship acrylic trophy and first-place certificate granting one bye at the National Championship

Prizes for the Optional Meta Challenge include:

•         Ultimate Bragging rights that you and your friends/meta-mates are the best!
•         UPDATED: Each member of the highest scoring Meta will receive custom tokens (for power/gold) designed by their Meta and made to order!
